Proximion Fiber Systems AB Recognized Again by the 2011 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA Rankings

Ranked as number 31 marks five years of exponential sales growth for Dispersion
Compensation Module leader

Kista, Sweden, Proximion AB, a world-class provider of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based products, today announced that for the third consecutive year, the company was ranked among the Technology Fast 500™ EMEA companies. This year, Proximion ranked as number 31 in Deloitte’s prestigious annual ranking of the fastest-growing public and private technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies in the EMEA region.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 recognizes technology companies that have achieved the fastest rates of revenue growth in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) during the past five years. Fast 500 companies—large, small, public and private—span a variety of industry sectors, and are leaders in hardware, software, telecom, semiconductors, Internet, media and entertainment, life sciences and emerging areas, such as clean technology. The Tech Fast 500 ranking is determined through nominations and publicly-available company material.

We are very proud to be ranked 31st out of 500 other fast-growing companies in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500TM EMEA ranking, significantly improving last year’s position as number 121 and its 2009 ranking as number 312. The award is a testament to all the hard work by the Proximion team and recognition to the quality and need for our products. A key success factor is that we have reached the technology forefront year after year, delivering state-of-the-art technology solutions to our customers. With our innovative products for advanced 40G and 100G coherent systems we are positioned for
continued strong growth.

Proximion will showcase the DCM-CBX at this year’s OFC/NFOEC conference in San Diego, March 6-8, in booth 1039.

Since 2003, Proximion has shipped dispersion compensation products based on Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) technology. These DCMs offer low loss, reduced latency with reduced nonlinear effects as compared with alternate technology, while simultaneously reducing cost. The company is the only manufacturer of FBG-based continuous band (CB) devices, which
provide full undisrupted compensation throughout the C band, thus providing total channel plan and modulation format independence. Proximion also develops and sells channelized DCMs, patch-cord DCMs, high dispersion products, Residual Dispersion Slope Compensators, and optical layer monitoring products.
