The low loss enables a high degree of freedom when optimizing a system with respect to performance and cost. The problems related to non-linear effects that put additional constraints on system design when using DCF based DCMs, are also eliminated by utilizing the highly advanced FBG technology.

Additional key features such as low latency and superior form factor further enable efficient optical transport and compact system integration.

The outstanding price/performance ratio is achieved by Proximion’s unique in-house ability to fabricate highly efficient Fiber Bragg Gratings with nanometer precision. The excellent control of the direct in-fiber write process over the whole length of the grating ensures very low level of phase ripple hence extremely low penalty levels are achieved.

On an optional basis, Proximion also provides customized single channel gratings for specific wavelengths and dispersion values.
