Proximion’s Continuous Band Dispersion Compensation Module (DCM-CB) represents the next step in dispersion management. The obvious strengths of traditional Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based DCMs are low loss, no non-linear effects, and small size, while Dispersion Compensating Fiber (DCF) based solutions have the advantage of full band and channel plan independent compensation. Proximion’s DCM is the first product to combine the best of both worlds.
