Management Team

Mr. Ekman has more than 20 years of experience from international business relations. Prior to being one of the founders of Proximion he worked in various management positions focusing on building and maintaining business driven and crucial technology partnerships either from a sales, procurement or offset standpoint. Mr. Ekman also holds experience from different markets such as defense, radio based telecom as well as from various forms of photonics markets.

Mr. Flodin has over 10 years of experience from various financial positions. Prior to joining Proximion his recent positions include Accounting Manager at Gambro Lundia AB, Financial Manager at Hemapure AB (a medtech start-up company acquired by Gambro 2006) and Controller at Uppsala Utility Company. Mr. Flodin holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Linköping University, Sweden.

Mr. Johansson has more than 20 years of experience within the optical industry, both from holding different managing positions and from doing research at for example Telia (Swedish PTT). Prior to joining Proximion he worked with product management at Transmode Systems. He was also founder and VP of Engineering at Q2labs and worked as System Design Manager for optical systems at Cisco Systems, Qeyton Systems and Ericsson Telecom. Mr. Johansson has more than 20 patents and holds a Master's Degree in Electronics from Chalmers University.

Mr. Persson has more than 10 years of experience within sales of advanced systems to the electronics industry, both from holding different managing positions and from account management. Prior to joining Proximion he worked with Business development at Micronic Laser Systems AB. Mr. Persson holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.

Mr. Lundberg has more than 17 years of experience from the optical networking industry. Prior to joining Proximion he served for five years as CEO, founder and member of the board at the successful optical networking start-up company Lumentis AB, where he remained as founder and consultant after the merger with Transmode Systems AB. He has also served for 8 years at Ericsson Telecom AB as main design manager, main project manager, and line manager for the development and production of optical networking systems. Mr. Lundberg holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.

Mrs. Groth has 18 years of experience within the telecom industry. Prior to joining Proximion she worked as Customer Quality Engineer supporting the Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Network accounts at Powerwave Technologies Sweden AB. She has also worked as product manager and with developing and customizing the internal PLM system at Allgon Systems AB as well as with component engineering at Ericsson Business Networks AB.

Mrs. Byfors has more than 12 years of experience in Human Resouces positions. Prior to joining Proximion she was engaged as HR-consultant for a number of companies in various branches and has also spent some years at Ericsson, responsible for product training programs. She has also worked at Statoil Detaljist AB as Human Resources Manager. Mrs. Byfors holds a B.Sc. in Human Resource Development from the University of Stockholm.
