Proximion History

Proximion, based in Stockholm, is the leading provider of components and subsystems based on Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs). Proximion’s core technology was developed by ACREO and the Royal Institute of Technology which demonstrated the first long complex FBG structures that could be scaled to long lengths in 1995. Since then the technology has been continuously refined and today Proximion designs and manufactures state-of-the-art subsystems and components in a fifth generation semi-automatic production line that can make upto 10m long FBGs.
